Army Reserve Center – Ft. Myers – Cape Coral, Florida

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District awarded the contract for a Design/Build of a single story Army Reserve Center (ARC) located in the North Ft. Myers/Cape Coral, FL area. The ARC consists of a 37,500-sf Training Building, 8,000-sf Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS), 1,500-sf unheated storage building, detached wash rack and organizational parking (MEP). The buildings include reinforced concrete foundations, concrete floor slabs, sloped metal roofs, mechanical systems and electrical systems.

The Training building is a multi-functional facility consisting of administrative, educational, assembly, library, learning center, vault, weapons simulator and physical fitness areas for six Army Reserve units or approximately 300 soldiers.

Certified LEED-NC Silver by the U.S. Green Building Council, the project includes the following sustainable features: 40% energy use reduction when compared to ASHRAE baseline, white insulated roof system, high R-value envelope, low water fixtures and LED lighting.
