Scott Barracks Renovation & Modernization – West Point, New York
FSA provide design and multidisciplinary services coordination for the restoration and modernization of Scott Barracks at the United States Military Academy at West Point NY.
The project consisted of a design/build historic restoration and modernization of a 150,491 sq. ft. multi-story building including basement and 8 stories above ground that houses 478 cadets. The restoration of the building Circa 1936 included site demolition, interior demolition (full gut on interior including MEP’s), exterior window demolition and replacement, concrete, masonry and stone restoration, structural steel for new blast windows, misc. metal, ornamental railings, decorative metals, rough carpentry, architectural millwork, building insulation, exterior historic door restoration, aluminum blast windows, aluminum glass curtain wall, ACT ceilings, porcelain tile, painting, sealed concrete, painted concrete, signage, furniture, fire suppression, plumbing, mechanical, telecommunication and electrical, fire alarm and detection systems. Comprehensive interior design and furniture-related as well as Sustainability/Energy measures.
